Youth

Creating a Victoria where all young people are healthy, safe and feel empowered.

The Office for Youth works to create a Victoria where all young people are healthy, safe, connected and empowered to contribute to the issues that affect them.

We support young Victorians to have inclusive and accessible support to achieve their goals, and feel optimistic, motivated and inspired about the future. We do this through providing funding to, and working closely with, young people and youth sector organisations across the state.

This is an exciting time in the history of the Youth portfolio with the launch of the new state-wide youth strategy. The 5-year strategy – developed in consultation with young people, the sector and the general community – will open doors for young people to be involved in government decision making and ensure that every young Victorian has equitable access to opportunities – in education, jobs, community, safety and more.

We have a dedicated website, Youth Central which has more information about jobs, study and housing options for young people.
