Inspirational efforts and remarkable achievements have been honoured through the prestigious 2025 Victorian Protecting Children Awards (VPCA).
The 22nd annual awards ceremony was held in the lead up to Child Protection Week on Tuesday 2 September 2025 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
The VPCA celebrate those working across the child and family services sector, child protection, government and academic organisations, foster, kinship and permanent carers, volunteers and community members.
Through 12 award categories, individuals, teams and groups were honoured for their demonstrated excellence in working with children, young people and families.
All of the winners have demonstrated a commitment to ensuring children, young people and families are safe, supported and thriving.
Examples include:
- Working with families to keep at-risk children and young people safe
- Empowering Aboriginal self-determination and cultural safety
- Delivering critical support programs
- Engaging young people with education
- Community champions who support strong connections and provide caring homes
This year marked the fourth year in a row of the VPCA receiving a record number of nominations, with 178 quality submissions received.
These efforts across the state are pivotal to improving equity of outcomes and access for Victorian children, young people, families and carers.
