The Victorian Seniors Festival delivers a range of free and low-cost events for older Victorians. The festival runs from 1 to 31 of October every year.
This year’s festival theme is Connect, Create, Celebrate. The festival theme invites older Victorians to:
- connect or re-connect with their interests, skills and hobbies
- explore their creativity and remain curious as they age
- get involved, have fun and share joy.
Festival events
The festival is supported by all local councils across the state, as well as community groups and organisations.
Some major festival events include:
- Celebration Day at Federation Square on Sunday 5 October from 12 pm. Celebration Day features a 7-hour line-up of free entertainment and activities.
- The Country Concert series, taking live music to regional and rural communities.
- The Aged Care Tour, sharing magic, music, and entertainment with aged care residents.
Older Victorians can take part in events and activities close to home and right across the state.
