Men’s sheds build more than projects. They also build connection, mateship and support systems.
The Victorian Government is proud to announce recipients of the 2026-27 Men’s Shed Funding Program.
This year, 37 organisations will share in more than $863,000 to build new sheds, refurbish existing sheds, and purchase major equipment for shed use.
Grants of up to $100,000 will support a variety of shed upgrades across Victoria. Supported projects include:
- Establishing a new Greensborough Men’s Shed
- Upgrading the Peter Mac Men’s Shed to improve accessibility
- Extending the Hopetoun and District Men’s Shed to add a covered outdoor area
- Refurbishing and expanding the Yoowinna Wurnalung Aboriginal Healing Service Cultural Men’s Shed.
Men’s sheds are spaces for men to get together, share stories and work on common projects.
At the shed, men can connect with each other, while working collaboratively on projects that benefit the wider community.
The Victorian Government recognises that men’s sheds are an important part of promoting health and wellbeing outcomes for men across the state.
That’s why we invest $1 million every year in Victorian men’s sheds, helping men to connect with their local community by joining a safe, welcoming and inclusive space.
