IDAHOBIT 2025 is about making a difference and standing firm against discrimination.
Today, LGBTIQA+ people in Australia still experience disproportionate rates of bullying, harassment and discrimination.
This year’s theme for IDAHOBIT (International Day Against LGBTQIA+ Discrimination) is ‘the power of communities’.
The power of our communities is essential in combatting discrimination. There are heaps of ways you can be an active ally to Victoria’s LGBTIQA+ communities.
Go rainbow this IDAHOBIT and beyond and make a difference by:
- being a visible ally by attending LGBTIQA+ events, wearing pride pins and posting your support on social media.
- using your voice and standing up for people when you see disrespect, harassment or discrimination.
- learning about the rich diversity of experiences in LGBTIQA+ communities by engaging with community members and media.
