The Orange Door Wonthaggi – new site

The Orange Door Wonthaggi is officially open. This site provides family violence and child wellbeing support to Victoria’s Bass Coast and South Gippsland community.

The Orange Door Wonthaggi access point is now officially open. The site provides family violence and child wellbeing support to suit individual circumstances.

The Orange Door network provides support face-to-face, via telephone or email.

Services include family violence and child wellbeing risk and needs assessments, safety planning, interventions to address immediate safety and wellbeing needs, and connections to services for longer term support.

The Orange Door Wonthaggi is open between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.

The Bass Coast and South Gippsland community can also access services at The Orange Door’s primary site in Morwell, and the Warragul access point.

Since opening in November 2018 until October 2025, The Orange Door Gippsland Area has supported more than 37,300 people including more than 15,200 children.

The Orange Door network also works with people who use or are at risk of using abusive and controlling behaviour, by keeping them in view and connecting them with services to address their behaviour.

The Orange Door network operates in 17 areas across the state:  Central Highlands, Loddon, Barwon, Inner Gippsland, North East Melbourne, Bayside Peninsula, Goulburn, Ovens Murray, Inner Eastern Melbourne, Mallee, South West and Wimmera (Wimmera South West), Southern Melbourne, Outer Gippsland, Hume Merribek, Outer Eastern Melbourne, Brimbank Melton and Western Melbourne.
