Midsumma Carnival

The Midsumma Carnival launches the three-week festival this year on Sunday 18 January in Alexandra Gardens on the edge of Melbourne’s CBD.

Midsumma Carnival is an iconic, open-air party that celebrates local and international talent. Entry is free, with attendees spoilt for choice with 200+ stalls, bars, food zones and performances packed throughout the day.

Pride March

Next up, is the Victorian Pride March, held on Sunday, 1 February. Thousands of people will walk together down Fitzroy Street, St Kilda, for one of the most significant events on the Victorian LGBTIQA+ calendar. It is proudly supported by the department.

Pride March is a moment to honour our diverse communities, and the progress that we continue to strive towards as a state.

Street Party

Just one week after Pride March, Victoria’s Pride Street Party is on Sunday 8 February from noon to 9 pm.

Held across iconic Collingwood's Gertrude and Smith streets, the 2026 Street Party promises music, performance and community stalls with free entry to all.

The bright and bold Street Party is a vibrant celebration of LGBTIQA+ pride across Victoria, and the culmination of 22 days of the 2026 Midsumma Festival.

For the first time, The Victorian Pill Testing Service will also be onsite offering free, confidential pill testing so people can make safer decisions.
