The program honours the late Joan Kirner AC, the first woman Premier of Victoria.
It supports young and emerging Victorian women and gender diverse people to:
- address the leadership challenges they face
- equip them with practical skills and strategies to advance on their leadership journeys.
The program is delivered by the Institute of Community Directors Australia with the support of the Victorian Government. Applicants from the not for profit, community and grassroots sectors are encouraged. Women and gender diverse people aged 22-40 are eligible to apply.
In sessions held over six weeks, beginning in October, participants will attend:
- interactive workshops featuring inspiring guest speakers
- webinars on gender equity and the future of work
- small group mentoring circles led by experienced leaders
- leadership strengths assessment and a one-on-one coaching session.
Applications for the 2025 program close midnight 1 September 2025. There are 40 places available.
