Wear It Purple Day is a day to support young LGBTIQA+ people by fostering a supportive, safe, empowering, and inclusive environment.
Purple is a symbol of unity, bringing together people from all walks of life.
This Wear It Purple Day, you may wish to take Minus 18’s Purple Pledge to show up for LGBTIQA+ young people. Make a promise to stand with LGBTIQA+ people, on August 29 and every day.
By taking the Purple Pledge, you are committing to standing up in the face of discrimination and promising to take action for LGBTIQA+ youth in Victoria.
Minus18 is an Australian charity aimed at improving the lives of LGBTIQA+ youth, and a proud partner of the Victorian Government on a range of programs and initiatives.
In Victoria, we want LGBTIQA+ youth to always feel comfortable and happy being unapologetically themselves.
