Vending machines are now available at Wathaurong Aboriginal Co-operative, Ngwala Willumbong Aboriginal Corporation, Mullum Mullum Indigenous Gathering Place, the Victorian Aboriginal Health Service and Aboriginal Community Elders Services.
This means more Aboriginal Victorians will now be able to access products they need when they need them.
Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations (ACCHOs) play a vital role in community health.
By placing vending machines in these services, we know support is culturally safe, community-led and easy to access.
Period products are not a luxury. No one should ever feel embarrassed or excluded because of their period.
More free pads and tampons vending machines are coming in Victoria in 2026. Locations include:
- public hospitals
- TAFEs
- public libraries
- major sports centres
- cultural institutions.
We are working towards up to 1,500 machines by June 2026.
All local councils nominated venues to ensure coverage across the state.
Over 790 vending machines are already available. These machines have dispensed more than 330,000 period products and counting!
By making pads and tampons freely available across the state, this program is delivering important health and wellbeing supports to more of our communities.
