Family Violence Prevention Month

What does family violence prevention look like in action?
19 May 2025

May is Family Violence Prevention Month. A time to consider the role we all play in stopping family and gender-based violence.

From individuals to organisations and institutions, we all need to do our part in challenging and changing the behaviours, attitudes and cultural norms that lead to family and gendered violence.

Prevention addresses the causes of family and gendered violence, so we can stop the violence before it starts.
