The framework was refreshed to reflect the experiences, priorities and strengths of Aboriginal people, families and communities.
The framework recommends looking at the whole picture – from prevention to healing. It recognises the importance of culture, family and community connection.
The Dhelk Dja Koori Caucus helped develop the framework. Aboriginal communities, Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations (ACCOs), Dhelk Dja Action Groups, government and the family violence sector were also consulted.
