For over 25 years, FReeZA has played a key role in the Victoria’s music and arts scene.
FReeZA has supported generations of Victorian young people by funding safe, inclusive and youth-led music and cultural events; creating pathways into and strengthening Victoria’s music and creative industries.
On 9 April 2025, the Victorian Government announced that the program will be stepping into the spotlight with a new identity – Amplify – signaling a fresh, modern era for Victoria’s key youth music initiative.
A refreshed version of the FReeZA program, Amplify is designed to meet the dynamic needs of today’s young people across the state.
Amplify will continue FReeZA’s legacy to empower young people aged 12 to 25 to:
- showcase their talent,
- shape events that celebrate their creativity and energy,
- build their skills and
- engage in activities that are both enriching and enjoyable.
Amplify will also continue to support organisations to collaborate with young people to create, plan and deliver music, creative arts, and cultural events across Victoria.
This evolution is based on feedback we received from young people and the sector to ensure the program is ready to support the next generation of Victorian talent!
