2025 Volunteering Awards – finalists announced

Recognising the incredible contributions of Victorian volunteers and volunteer organisations

Every day, volunteers generously give their time and energy to support their communities.

The Victorian Government is proud to acknowledge and celebrate their impact through the 2025 Volunteering Awards, delivered in partnership with Volunteering Victoria.

This year’s finalists highlight the many ways volunteers are making a positive difference in their communities. From strengthening health and wellbeing to building community connections and resilience.

There are 26 volunteers shortlisted across 4 categories:

  • Volunteer Leadership
  • Volunteer Impact
  • Volunteer Commitment
  • Young Volunteer.

One of the above category winners will also be awarded the Volunteer of the Year - Dame Elisabeth Murdoch Award.

There are 21 volunteer organisations shortlisted across 4 categories:

  • Inclusive Volunteering
  • Volunteering Partnerships
  • Volunteering Innovation
  • Grassroots Volunteering

One of the above category winners will also be awarded the Organisation of the Year - Volunteering Excellence Award.
