The program, which launched in 2016, has supported more than 180 projects that develop and strengthen funding recipients’ operations and expertise.
This grant round focused on developing organisations that support diverse and intersectional LGBTIQA+ communities to ensure their services and supports are aligned with the needs of Victorian LGBTIQA+ communities.
The successful projects range from child safety programs to support rainbow dads, as well as a co-designed, peer-led support model for LBGTIQA+ refugees and people seeking asylum.
Strengthening the LGBTIQA+ sector is a key part of the Victorian Government’s broader commitment to advancing equality, aligned with Pride in our future: Victoria’s LGBTIQA+ strategy 2022–32.
