Scholarships for interpreter courses at RMIT

There are scholarships available now to study interpreting next year. The Interpreter Scholarship Program provides funds so that our culturally and linguistically diverse community can remain connected and informed.

Scholarships are now available to support bilingual Victorians to study interpreting at RMIT University in 2023.

Twenty languages have been prioritised based on their level of demand in the community or the limited availability of qualified interpreters.

Scholarships are available for eligible people enrolling in the:

  • Diploma of Interpreting in Karen and Persian
  • Advanced Diploma of Interpreting in Mandarin and Vietnamese
  • Interpreting Skills for National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters (NAATI) Certification in a variety of targeted languages.

People who are bilingual and want to learn or develop professional interpreting skills are encouraged to apply.

Applications are open until Wednesday 30 November 2022. 

The Interpreter Scholarship Program provides funds so that our culturally and linguistically diverse community can remain connected and informed. The program has helped more than 500 people get National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters certification.
