The funding will support up to 400 organisations to undertake Rainbow Health Australia’s How2 training.
The How2 program has been designed to help organisations become more LGBTIQ+ inclusive by:
- providing them with the basic knowledge of LGBTIQ+ inclusion standards based on the Rainbow Tick framework
- supporting them to develop and implement a plan for LGBTIQ+ inclusion by providing practical support through tools and templates
- promoting ongoing learning, motivation and collaboration opportunities for groups of organisations seeking to improve their LGBTIQ+ inclusion practices
Completion of the How2 program will assist organisations interested in gaining Rainbow Tick accreditation, which is currently only for health and human services organisations.
This investment is part of the Government’s broader efforts to improve equality for LGBTIQ+ communities through implementing its landmark 10-year LGBTIQ+ strategy Pride in our Future 2022-2032.
