Multicultural and multifaith communities strengthen our state with rich culture, language, faith and tradition that promotes new ideas, economic growth and social connections.

Advice and insight from Victoria’s multicultural and multifaith communities is essential to our government, which is why the work of the Victorian Multicultural Commission (VMC) is so important.

Commissioners work at a grassroots level to understand issues facing multicultural communities, liaise with community and faith groups, give advice to government and develop strategies to address issues and drive meaningful change.

Recruitment will reflect the diversity of multicultural Victoria and applications from people from new and emerging communities, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people with disability, LGBTIQ+ people and people living in regional and rural areas are highly encouraged.

Commissioners are appointed for terms of up to four years and EOIs close on Sunday 14 May.  Apply now via the Victorian Multicultural Commissioners - Fisher Leadership website.
