Community organisations can now apply for grants valued between $20,000 and $40,000 to fund projects that will support Victoria’s unpaid carers in their local communities through the ‘Connecting Carers in their Community’ grants program.
These grants aim to enhance social connectedness and reduce isolation among carers, by funding projects and groups that support carers across Victoria within their local communities, especially those in regional and rural areas. This includes providing carers more support options closer to home, so they can access help and build connections with other carers within their community.
Grant applications are welcome for carer support groups, community groups and community organisations that provide support activities to carers.
Carers Victoria will also be hosting an online information session on 29 August, to support eligible groups and organisations with their grant application.
Applications close on Thursday 15 September 2023.
