The new Investing in Women Grassroots Grants program supports grassroots organisations to continue to play a vital role in working towards gender equality in Victoria.

Grants of up to $10,000 are available, from a total funding pool of $200,000, to support activities that empower women, such as events, training programs, community projects, awareness-raising campaigns and advocacy efforts.

The funding aims to help organisations build capacity, strengthen networks, and reach more people.

We encourage applications that support a diverse group of women and focus on improving whole of community outcomes including:

  • Cultural change: Victoria is free from gender stereotypes, gender roles, and prejudices
  • Health and wellbeing: Health and wellbeing of Victorians are not limited by gender
  • Safety and respect: All Victorians are safe and treated with respect
  • Economic and material security: Victorians have equal access to economic and material security.

The Investing in Women Grassroots Grants program plays a role in achieving the Victorian Government’s vision of building a fairer, safer future for women and girls, who disproportionately experience the negative impacts of gender inequality.

Applications close on Monday 22 May.
