Minister for Women Gabrielle Williams MP has announced the 2021 inductees. Twenty-three women who made exceptional contributions to their communities have been inducted into the Victorian Honour Roll of Women.

The Honour Roll promotes gender equality by recognising women in leadership roles and makes sure that women’s achievements are placed on the public record. Since the Honour Roll began in 2001, more than 700 women have been inducted.

Yasmin Poole was inducted as an emerging leader – a category added to the Honour Roll in 2021 to recognise young women in the early stage of their careers. Yasmin is the Non-Executive Board Director of OzHarvest, Australia’s leading food rescue charity and YWCA, a national feminist organisation that has supported women and girls for 140 years. At 22, Yasmin is also the youngest inductee in the history of the Honour Roll.

Leading through disaster was also added as a category this year to acknowledge women’s leadership in bushfire and COVID-19 response and recovery. Rebecca Casson the CEO of Master Builders Victoria, the first female leader in the Association’s 146-year history, is an inductee in this category. Rebecca has been a great advocate for her members and the broader building and construction industry during the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.
