All providers must implement COVIDSafe prevention measures and ensure they have a COVIDSafe Plan for all workplaces. This includes centre-based services and disability residential services.
A COVIDSafe Plan must show:
- actions to help prevent coronavirus (COVID-19) in your workplace
- the type of face mask or personal protective equipment (PPE) needed for your workforce
- how you will prepare for, and respond to, a suspected or confirmed case of coronavirus (COVID-19) in your workplace
- how you will meet all the requirements set out by the Victorian Government, including the additional requirements for care facilities outlined in the Care Facilities Directions and the Workplace (Additional Industry Obligations) Directions.

Personal protective equipment (PPE) for disability services

There are additional advice and requirements for residential disability service providers covered by the Care Facilities Directions:

Disability residential services are responsible for ordering PPE supplies. At least two days of PPE supplies should be stored onsite that can be accessed immediately whilst further stocks are ordered.
The NDIA has introduced support items so that providers in Victoria can claim for PPE used when delivering face-to-face supports assisting participants with daily living.
NDIS participants in Victoria can purchase PPE from their core support funding if they receive at least one hour per day face-to-face supports assisting with their daily living.
